Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

The technology used by our Winnipeg dentists help to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly. Because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and explain an ideal treatment plan.

We aim to inform patients about their oral health while providing them with dental care. Dental technology helps us do that.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for dentures, braces, extractions, and implants.

Dental Lasers

In dentistry, we use lasers (focused light beams) for a variety of soft tissue procedures. They allow our dentists to perform dental procedures with less pain and fewer medical interventions.  At Winnipeg Square Dental Centre, our dentists use lasers to remove overgrown or decayed tissue or reshape the gums.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions, an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions which can be messy and time-consuming. Your dentist simply uses an optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. This device allows your dentist to capture accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.

iTero 3D Scanner

The iTero® intraoral scanner takes accurate, 3D impressions of your bite. It allows us to plan your dental treatment in real-time, store data digitally, and create Invisalign clear aligners.
